Please practice these at home using the strategies stuck in homework jotters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading<\/strong> &#8211; Try to read for 10 to 15 minutes each night. If you do more, that&#8217;s great!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Numeracy<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>There is a Scotland Sumdog contest starting on Monday 21st. This is a big task as each pupil is attempting to get as many correct answers as possible out of 1000 questions!! We will do some in class but it would be a big help if everyone tries for 15 to 20 minutes at home each day &#8211; we will get through the 1000 questions in no time!!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>IDL &#8211; Make a Viking Shield<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Design and make your own Viking Shield using cardboard\/paper plates\/cereal boxes etc.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose a Viking inspired pattern or symbol<\/li>\n<li>Create a Viking name and write it on the shield eg Erik the Brave or Freya the Fearless<\/li>\n<li>Decorate it using materials you have at home<\/li>\n<li>Make it as colourful or realistic as you like<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will create a Viking Shield Wall display in our classroom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This homework is for the next 2 weeks as we have this Friday and Monday off school.
