Renewable Energy!

Over the past few weeks, P6/7D have been answering their own curious question: What is renewable energy and how can it help slow the effect of Climate Change, for our future?

We’ve been involved in a variety of activities from case studies to experiments. Feel free to come along between 3.30-5pm tomorrow evening (24th March) to see all our learning. A selection of photos can be found below:

Easter Code at John Knox

Primary 7 thoroughly enjoyed Easter Code at John Knox Church yesterday where the fantastic team of volunteers provided an immersive and interactive experience which brought the Easter story to life!

Febru-read!!! Reading Challenges for the month of February!!

To continue to promote a love of Reading for Enjoyment, we would like to invite our learners to take part in the Reading Challenge “NRPS Febru-read!!!” We have a challenge for P4-7 and a challenge for P1-3.  If your child would like to take part in a challenge, they can let their teacher know and they will be given a challenge sheet which will allow them to take part.  We will make time at our Personal Achievement Assemblies to celebrate learners who take part.

Maths Game Madness!

P6/7D rounded off our Multiples, Factors and Primes block of learning with a Games station rotation. Pupils enjoyed the interactive, competitive and collaborative way of consolidating their skills!

Robert Burns’ Day

Last week we celebrated Rabbie’s birthday, not wi traditional haggis, neeps & tatties, but wi a selection o other Scottish ‘delicacies’. P6/7D tucked intae tattie scones, shortbread, Tunnocks tea cakes and caramel wafers, tablet, oatcakes and Scottish cheddar, and even some toasted plain breed! All washed doon wi an Irn Bru! Our guitar group provided the entertainment and performed Auld Lang Syne. No Scotland, no party!

Bubblegum & Fluff

Our friends at John Knox Church visited P6 on Wednesday to lead a workshop around the true meaning of Christmas. We worked in groups to put together the story of the first Christmas and made a craft to take home for our own Christmas Trees. Thank you, John Knox volunteers!
