Another short week this week!<\/p>\n

This week has been Maths Week Scotland and the theme this year was Wild Maths!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

P4H and P4W teamed up for some maths fun this week, here is some of what we got up to \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Measuring<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We took our learning outside to look at different ways to measure. We used meter sticks, as well as non-standard units such as sticks and feathers!<\/p>\n

Times Tables<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We used the time outside to find different ways to practise our times tables, this included times table hopscotch.<\/p>\n

Symmetry<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To extend our knowledge of symmetry we got to use Minecraft Education to try and create the other half of different shapes and buildings. The children were a lot better at navigating the world than Miss Day and have taught me lots!<\/p>\n

Shape<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We also explored shape outside to create tally charts on all the different shapes we could see. We found out the school is made up from A LOT of rectangles, but we didn’t have time to count them all (even though some tried!)<\/p>\n
