Special Visitors

We hope to have some special visitors in Mrs McCracken’s office!  We will have 10 eggs delivered on the 8th of May and we hope to see these eggs hatch into little chicks!  Look out here and on Facebook for updates!

Reminder- PE Days

I have included a reminder of the PE days for each class below. We ask that on these days children come prepared with the appropriate PE kit and that jewellery is removed for the safety of all pupils. This includes all piercings, rings, watches and
wrist accessories.

P1-     Monday, Thursday and Friday

P2/3-   Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

P3/4-  Monday, Tuesday and Friday

P5/6- Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

P6/7-  Monday, Thursday and Friday

If for any reason, such as visiting specialists, your child’s PE session has to be moved we will do our best to keep it within their allocated day.

Please see the document below for more information in supporting your child with PE.

Free Football Ticket Offer

East Ayrshire Libraries are delighted to be working in collaboration with the SPFL Trust and Kilmarnock Football club to bring the 4-4-2 Reading Challenge to local children.

As a reward for reading and using the library we are offering free tickets to Kilmarnock home games.

All that primary aged children need to do is borrow 4 books from the library (on their own card, not a group card) and when they return the fourth book they get a card stamped which they take to Rugby Park to exchange for 1 free child ticket and 1 discounted adult ticket on selected home games.  The challenge runs until the end of May but completed vouchers can be redeemed until the end of October.

4-4-2 = 4 books 4(for) 2 tickets

Collectors cards are limited and are on a strictly first come, first served basis across the authority. Please see your local library for more information.

Easter Basket Challenge

Before we stopped for our Easter break Mrs Young set the whole school the challenge of making an Easter Basket during Circle Assembly. The basket that could hold the most cream eggs was the winner! There were so many baskets that passed the egg challenge that Mrs Allan had the difficult task of choosing the winner based on their design! Well done to the winning group! I think Mrs Allan deserves a cream egg for making the difficult decision!
