Here are some of P6\u2019s January highlights.<\/h4>\n

Columba 1400<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n

The class participated in the Columba 1400 Leadership programme again.\u00a0 This time the focus was on the value Integrity.\u00a0 There was lots of discussion about what integrity means and how they can demonstrate integrity in school and the wider community.\u00a0 The pupils also created Welcome to Our School leaflets or posters focussing on different aspects of the school community.<\/p>\n

Outdoors they carried out a trust building, blindfold maze activity. They worked in teams to create chalk mazes in the playground.\u00a0 One team member was then blindfolded and the others had to guide them around the maze safely.<\/p>\n

Burns Celebration<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

P6 studied \u2018To a louse\u2019 by Robert Burns as part of our Burns Night celebrations.\u00a0 We discussed Scots words and their meanings, created visualisations of \u2018To a Louse\u2019, as well as designing our own tartans in ICT to use as a back drop for some Scots Words Pop Art!<\/p>\n

Gymnastics<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

In PE, P6 have been taking part in gymnastics and developing their balancing skills.\u00a0 Here are some pictures of the partner balances they created.<\/p>\n
