In ICT the boys were working on improving their multiplication and division through the fun Times Table Rock Stars online game!
They were also using 3D paint to identify different shapes.

Nurture – Howie Visit for Dam Building
Today, we had a fantastic time when Howie Pitman, the Dean Park Ranger came to talk to us about Dams, Flooding and creatures we might find in the River Afton.
Here are some pictures of the experiment we carried out measuring which material; big rocks, small rocks or sand was the best to hold back water. We talked about giving some advice to the men building the flood defences at the river just now :0
Here was the time it took the water to go through the big black rocks…

Nurture – Sudoku
The boys learned how to complete a Sudoku grid today…great job!
Nurture – Addition
We were practising our addition sums today, look at how good we are now!
To help consolidate our learning in addition we played the Robot game.
Nurture – Measuring
In nurture we were using rulers to measure different objects.
Here Alfie is measuring using footsteps.

Nurture – Taking Turns and Using Co-ordinates in Battleships
Some of the children in Nurture have been practising taking turns using the Battleships game.
Another skill being developed here is making use of co-ordinates to try and take down your opponents ships!
And all while enjoying ourselves!
