Literacy Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Activity 1<\/em>: Formation of letters learned so far in class.\u00a0 Use rice, flour, play dough, pens, pencils\u2026 (you choose)<\/p>\n

Activity 2: Phonics revision \u2013 Stories, songs and activities about the sounds previously learned. Choose which ones you ned to practise and complete the activities. Click the link below.<\/em><\/p>\n

Activity 3:<\/em>\u00a0Write a story of your choice and remember sentence structure, form letters correctly and draw a picture.<\/p>\n

Activity 4:<\/em> Revise your common words using the attached common word wall: Stage-1-Common-Word-Wall<\/a><\/p>\n

Activity 5:<\/em> Reading Game \u2013 print and play the attached reading game with someone in your house: satpin-reading-game (1)<\/a><\/p>\n

Activity 6:<\/em> CVC Cut and Paste worksheet. If you are unable to print, have a go at drawing the picture and write the word under it: cvc-words-cut-and-paste-activity-sheet<\/a><\/p>\n

Activity 7:<\/em>\u00a0Keep revising your \u201cWord Box Lists\u201d and make sure you are sounding the words out and reading them correctly.<\/p>\n

Activity 8:<\/em>\u00a0Choose a favourite story book and retell the story to an adult, brother, sister or even your teddy bear.<\/p>\n

Activity 9:\u00a0<\/em>Sound hunt \u2013 choose a sound you have learned and see how many objects you can find around your house that \u2013 a) starts with the sound, b) ends with the sound c) has the sound somewhere within it.<\/p>\n

Activity 10:<\/em> Use the conversation cards to hold help you have a chat with someone in your house: Conversation-Cards<\/a><\/p>\n

Activity 11:<\/em> Reading Bingo- Read or listen to a book for 10 minutes and x the appropriate box!<\/p>\n
