Wednesday Check-in

Hello everybody,

I hope you are all well and coping with this weeks online learning.

Please leave a comment to let us know how you are finding this so far. Also feel free to ask any questions too. Remember you can send us pictures and videos by email to show us what you have been getting up to or to receive some feedback.

Next week we will post the home learning tasks each day onto the blog so please ensure you check in every day to receive this.  Next week will follow a more structured timetable as some lessons will be in video format. We will be in touch with details regarding live check-ins when we know more information.

Take care and stay safe,

Miss Roy and Mrs Hendersoneph4 be kind | Inspirational quotes for kids, Short inspirational quotes, Kindness quotes

  1. Hi, Grace has done well with the tasks given, they have really helped to fill the day and to continue her learning. Thank you

  2. Hi. With both of us working and on conference calls a lot of the time we are finding it difficult to work with Saoirse to do the do the school work between 9 to 5. We are going to have to do the majority if this outside work hours, in the evening and weekend. Although we will be logging in for live lessons and do what we can 9 to 5. The content is good, we just need to be realistic about what we can do. Thanks

    1. Hi there,

Absolutely, please just do what you can. I can imagine it must be very difficult. All next weeks content will remain on the blog so you can complete this at a time that is convenient to yourselves.

  4. Good Morning,

We are working through it. Kristian is finding it a bit annoying to be back in a structure, but he is doing his work well.

    Thank you & Take Care.

  6. Hi
We picked up the pack which has been helpful and working through some of the tasks. I asked Isla what she wanted me to tell you and she said I was to say that she’s been a good girl…..! She is very easily distracted however and it isn’t easy fitting round about our work. But we’re all just trying to do what we can. She really enjoys doing Education City as it’s fun and not just her mum nagging!
She misses school and seeing everyone so much. Always asking when she can go back!

    1. I am glad that you are finding the pack useful and so glad that Isla is being a good girl! It is a very challenging time for us all and it must be extremely difficult trying to home school when you are trying to do your own work. We will continue to add games to Education City to keep everyone busy! We miss everyone too and hope to see you all soon.

  7. Hi, thanks for the effort you have put in to provide home learning for all the kids. 😊
We haven’t been following it so far with Ayla as we are both working & have 2 other primary school age children to try & help with their online learning aswell. We have used her common word box, plus printed worksheets (letter/number formation) from other sources. Also done some reading, baking & painting etc.
I have printed out the number & letter cards from the blog now & will dip in & out of some of the suggestions when we can.
Thanks & hope you are all staying safe.
    Lyndsey

    1. Absolutely, please just do what you can. Well done, Ayla! You are working super hard. I hope you have baked something nice!

      Take care,

      Miss Roy

  8. We were practicing Holly’s new common words today from the pack, which I collected this morning. The trickier ones were a struggle with Dad in the room, so practicing in another room is better.
Holly has been practicing word games with her leapstart learn to read books as well today. She has been using her leapstart and writing/drawing pictures on the whiteboard (which are things she can do independently while I am working) but will do some of the other lessons/activities each day.

    Take care. x

    1. Hello,

Well done, Holly. Thank you for working so hard! It sounds like you have been super busy at home. I bet Innes has tried joining in on home school too!

Please do what you can at a time that is convenient to yourself. I can’t even begin to imagine how tricky it must be to juggle working and teaching at once. Remember to fit in some relaxing time too!

  9. Hi Miss Roy
I hope you have a great day ⛄️.
We’re making our way through the tasks. Hoping to get more done today and tomorrow with my mum at home. I miss everyone xx

  10. Hi Miss Roy,

Isabella has been trying hard worth her writing & words. With both Phil & myself working full time, we have been doing what we can but we have planned to do lots over the weekend with her to catch up. Is there anything specific you would say is vital we cover?

Isabella is missing her classmates & is looking forward to getting back to school so she can see you all.

    X

    1. Hello,

Thank you for working so hard, Isabella!

I know it can be difficult when you are both working full time so please do what you can at a time that is convenient to yourselves.
Next week I will be introducing two new sounds and some new common words, therefore, if Isabella could practice all the words and sounds we have already covered that would be a great place to start. Please don’t hesitate to email if you have any questions.

      Miss Roy
