Start of Term 2!

Hello everybody and welcome back to term 2!

Since the start of this term, we have had a lot of things going on.

This week’s blog has been written by Hannah –

“We have had the Halloween party (photos below), a pantomime and the nativity rehearsals have started! We also have started social dancing. Here are some of our favourite subjects so far this term:

Hannah ~ P.E. and art        Charlotte ~ P.E.       Lucas ~ lunch     Duncan ~ P.E. & art”

End of Term 1!

We are all amazed at how fast the time has flown in! It is so pleasing to see everyone has settled into the rhythm of the class. We are all working hard and enjoying school!

Here are some of the classes favourite things we have done this term;

Patrick – “Doing the formal algorithm in numeracy”

Henry – “Creating the Christmas cards”

Noah – “Times tables, they’re the best!”

Finnlay – “Using the laptops to make a PowerPoint”

Grace and Corey – “All of the art and all of the PE”

Josiah and Harris – “Every bit of it”

Lucas – “Leading one of the football lessons in PE”

Amy – “Multiplication and learning different ways to work it out”

Eilidh and Hannah – “Every PE lesson, most of the maths and all of the art”

Jacob – “PE and numeracy”

Charlotte – “Response writing because we watched the Disney shorts”

Have a great October holiday and see everyone on Tuesday 24th October!

An update from P5/6

15th September 2023

This week we have been continuing with our class novel, The Last Bear, and have started to look at the polar regions in relation to the people and animals that live there. We created animal fact files of a polar animal of our choice and then made PowerPoints to present to each other.

In maths, we have started multiplication and on Friday used cards, dominoes and our own board games to practise our mental multiplication.

On Thursday, Henry and Amy had a trip to Kilwinning to learn more about their new roles as Junior Road Safety Officers. They will be promoting road safety issues within the school and the local community.

Welcome to P5/6

Hello everyone and a big welcome to P5/6’s blog.

After a fast first 3 weeks; we’ve managed to find some time to update our class blog. Our IDL topic this term in our class novel study, The Last Bear. We have all been thoroughly enjoying the novel and are looking forward to seeing where the story takes us.

We have all been enjoying some PE and making the most of the September sunshine over the last couple weeks. In PE, we have been playing rugby and have been learning how to spin pass and pop pass, as well as running with the ball – Finn Russell-esque! Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday.

Homework will be given out on a Monday and is due on the Friday.

Have a great week everyone!
