Dear Parents and Carers,<\/p>\n
As we begin preparing for our summer show, we are looking for your support with costumes. Our show takes the audience on a journey through time, from the 1940s to the present day, and we would love to create these looks using items children may already have at home wherever possible.<\/p>\n
Please do not feel any pressure to buy anything new. We are aiming to keep this as low-cost and inclusive as possible.<\/p>\n
Some ideas include:<\/p>\n
1940s \u2013 shirts, braces, flat caps, simple dresses, cardigans\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n 1950s \u2013 polka dots, scarves, circle skirts, rolled-up jeans, white t-shirts\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n 1960s \u2013 bright colours, patterns, headbands, simple shift-style dresses\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n 1970s \u2013 flared trousers, bold prints, denim, waistcoats\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n 1980s \u2013 bright\/neon clothing, leggings, oversized tops, denim jackets\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n 1990s \u2013 checked shirts, denim, sportswear, band t-shirts\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n 2000s\u2013Present \u2013 everyday clothes, sporty or pop-inspired outfits\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n If you have any items, you are happy to lend or donate, we would be very grateful.
