Numeracy:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have been practicing our number formation and would appreciate any support and practice at home with this.<\/p>\n

We are working on addition within 10 and within 20.\u00a0\u00a0Some children may wish to challenge themselves by adding with higher numbers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Some ideas to practise are:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Dominos \u2013 choose a domino & add the two sides. Try to write the number sentence e.g. 3 + 2 = 5<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Roll two dice, add the two numbers & write the number sentence.<\/li>\n
  3. Create some addition calculations for your child so solve. Use concrete materials to help e.g. pasta, stones, sticks.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
