The theme of Dyslexia Awareness Week is \u2018Positive about Dyslexia\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Essential Skills Service, Vibrant Communities is an adult literacy and numeracy service, which offers free and confidential support across East Ayrshire for people who may need help and assistance with reading, writing and number skills. As part of Dyslexia Awareness Week, we would like to invite you to our <strong>free<\/strong> <strong>East Ayrshire Dyslexia Roadshow<\/strong> which will be held in partnership with Dyslexia Scotland and Glasgow Caledonian University in <strong>St Joseph\u2019s Campus<\/strong>, Grassyards Road, Kilmarnock on the <strong>10<sup>th<\/sup> November 2017 from 5.00-9.30pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the Dyslexia Roadshow is to raise to employers, parents, teachers, practitioners and adults awareness of Dyslexia and other eye difficulties such as Meares Irlen and how these conditions can impact on persons working, community, family and personal life.<\/p>\n<p>Various Workshops will be taking place throughout the evening:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fiona Dickson \u2013 Director Dyslexia Scotland &#8211; \u201c What is Dyslexia and What Helps\u201d<\/li>\n<li>5.00 &#8211; 6.00pm and 7.00 &#8211; 8.00pm<\/li>\n<li>Dr Nadia Northway \u2013 Glasgow Caledonian University \u201cTo See, To Learn\u201d<\/li>\n<li>6.10 &#8211; 7.00pm and 8.10 \u2013 9.00pm<\/li>\n<li>Craig Mill \u2013 CALL Scotland &#8211; \u201cDyslexia Information Computer Technology (ICT)\u201d<\/li>\n<li>6.10 \u2013 7.00pm and 8.10 \u2013 9.00pm<\/li>\n<li>Gill Hudson \u2013 Iansyst &#8211; \u201cAssistive Technology for Dyslexia Scotland\u201d<\/li>\n<li>5.00 \u2013 6.00pm and 7.00-8.00pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Various exhibitors will be on hand to demonstrate their services such as Dyslexia Scotland, Iansyst, Cricksoft, Vibrant Communities and many more.
