The theme of Dyslexia Awareness Week is Destination Dyslexia<\/strong>: a route map
\nWe want to make Scotland a dyslexia friendly destination for every person who has dyslexia.\u00a0 A dyslexia friendly society is one where everyone understands dyslexia and how it impacts the 1 in 10 children and adults who are dyslexic (Dyslexia Scotland, https:\/\/www.dyslexiascotland.org.uk\/dyslexia-awareness-week-scotland<\/a>)<\/div>\n

During this week children will take part in activities to learn about dyslexia and why it is important that everyone gets the support they need to learn.<\/div>\n

No Pens Wednesday\"Raster<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n
No Pens Wednesday will take place on Wednesday 3rd November.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Children and staff will have the opportunity to wear something blue that day, to raise awareness about dyslexia, in support of Ellie’s Blue Ribbon Campaign, more information about the blue ribbons can be found here: https:\/\/www.dyslexiascotland.org.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/library\/RibbonStory.pdf<\/a><\/div>\n

P1 – 3:<\/strong> <\/span>Design a Dyslexia Awareness Ribbon.<\/div>\n
You can be as creative as you like and use any colours or materials.<\/div>\n

P4 – 7:<\/strong> <\/span>Write a poem or use the poster template, show the strengths and challenges someone who has dyslexia may face. Dyslexia Awareness Week 2021 P4-7 Poster Competition<\/a><\/div>\n

All entries should be sent to Miss Kirkcaldy by Friday 5th November.<\/div>\n
