Just a reminder that the BBC Big Garden Birdwatch is on between the 29th and 31st January.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a LIVE<\/span> <\/strong><\/em>lesson online and an CBBC this Thursday at 11am. Tune in if you can!<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Pick\u00a0a\u00a0time<\/strong>
    \n<\/span>You can choose any hour\u00a0between 29 and 31 January.<\/span>\u00a0So whether you\u2019re an early bird or a night owl, you can still take part.<\/p>\n

    <\/span><\/li>\n

  2. Tell us what you see\u00a0<\/strong>
    \nC<\/span>ount the birds you see in your garden<\/span>\u00a0or from your balcony*.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Ignore<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>any\u00a0<\/span>birds\u00a0<\/span>that are<\/span>\u00a0still<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in flight.\u00a0<\/span>T<\/span>o a<\/span>void double-counting<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>just\u00a0<\/span>record the highest number of each bird species you see at any one time \u2013 not\u00a0<\/span>a running total<\/span>.<\/p>\n

    <\/span>*This year our advice is to take part in the safety of your own home. This could include\u00a0a birdwatch from your window if you overlook a green space or courtyard.<\/span><\/li>\n

  3. Submit your results<\/strong>
    \n<\/span>Online:\u00a0<\/span>You can submit your results online at\u00a0<\/span>    rspb.org.uk\/birdwatch<\/span><\/a>\u00a0from 29 January until 19 February.
    \n<\/span>By post:\u00a0If you\u2019d\u00a0<\/span>rather<\/span>\u00a0send your results by post, you can download a submission form below<\/span>. Please post your\u00a0<\/span>results<\/span>\u00a0to us\u00a0<\/span>before<\/span>\u00a015 February.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    E<\/span><\/span>very count is important so<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0if you don\u2019t see anything, please still submit your result. Finding out which birds\u00a0<\/span><\/span>don\u2019t visit<\/span><\/span>\u00a0your area is as important as understanding\u00a0<\/span><\/span>those<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>which<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>do!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
