This week in the ECC we have been exploring the theme of families and how families can be different in many different ways. The children have been exploring families in the small world area, dolls house, exploring different family members in the dolls house. Some children were able to apply their real life experiences of their family to their imaginative play.<\/p>\n

In the creative area the children have been designing their own family trees using a variety of collage materials.<\/p>\n

In the quiet room this week we have focusing on story telling; exploring stories, retelling and predicting\u00a0 what happens next in a story and creating our own stories.<\/p>\n

This week in the outdoor area the children have been exploring and using real tools to create their very own bird house. The children called it ‘Mauchline ECC penthouse’. The children were risk assessing their own learning and how to use tools safely. They worked as part of a team to create the bird house.<\/p>\n
