INDOORS<\/p>\n

We continued with the interest of transport this week. Children explored the hot air balloon learning about how it stays up and what material it is made of. \u00a0They used ipads, \u00a0books and promethean board to look at different types and the engineering of the balloon.<\/p>\n

With this academic year coming to an end. We have looked again at our play environment and what resources we need. Please check out \u00a0the mauchline page on Facebook for a list of things we are requesting.<\/p>\n

OUTDOORS<\/p>\n

The interest of transport is big outdoors where children took an interest into where to park their bikes. They took the lead using chalk to mark their bays and used mathematical language in measuring how big and using the bikes to check. They then used their knowledge of number to mark the bays.
\nSome of the children then wanted parking bays For the small role play area so the tuff tray has been transformed to accommodate this. This has led to directional language and extend mathematical understanding.<\/p>\n

Children going to school have continued to meet up with their buddies as part of \u00a0transition and our new ECC children starting in August also came for a visit. \ud83c\udfeb<\/p>\n

Next week will be our last week for this academic year, details of our ECC end of term party will be published on Learning Journals.\u00a0With the primary school closing on Friday at 1pm, we will open the ECC door to accommodate this. \ud83d\ude0e\u2600\ufe0f\u26f1<\/p>\n
