{"id":4,"date":"2022-10-27T11:13:54","date_gmt":"2022-10-27T10:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/mathsfamilylearning\/?p=4"},"modified":"2022-10-27T11:13:54","modified_gmt":"2022-10-27T10:13:54","slug":"maths-open-morning-feedback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/mathsfamilylearning\/2022\/10\/27\/maths-open-morning-feedback\/","title":{"rendered":"Maths Open Morning Feedback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you very much to everyone who filled in the questionnaires during our Maths Open Morning last month.<\/p>\n<p>I have collated all your responses below along with the actions we have taken.\u00a0 As always please contact the school for anymore information or questions you may have.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><strong>You said&#8230;&#8230;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">It would be useful to know what apps you use and if we could get a parent login.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">Some online activities for home.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">More maths sheets would be good for home.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366\">We did&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">We have added a <strong>Numeracy Family Learning<\/strong> tab on our <strong>GLOW<\/strong> Look out for links to useful websites for games or more maths worksheets.\u00a0 Staff may also paste useful links on their class page.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">The children have been sent <strong>home logins<\/strong> for the sites we use in school.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><strong>You said&#8230;&#8230;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\">It would be beneficial to have more open days for parents.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\">More days like this as it\u2019s helpful to understand more.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\">More open mornings like this.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\">More of these days to see children in class.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366\">We did&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\">We have a <strong>Literacy Open Morning<\/strong> planned for <strong>Wednesday 16<sup>th<\/sup> November<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\">Look out for more open days in Terms 3 and 4.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><strong>You said&#8230;&#8230;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">More information on the activities for adults.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Explain for adults. Can be confusing for adults.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">There\u2019s normally not enough info on what the children have to do.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Maybe step by step guide of how to use the methods.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366\">We did&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Look out on our new Numeracy Family Learning tab on GLOW for some <strong>step by step guides<\/strong> on some of the Number Talk Strategies the children use in class.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Remember to check your child\u2019s class page on <strong>GLOW<\/strong> for information on any home learning tasks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Mrs Schendel and Miss McLean will hold <strong>Maths Family Learning Afterschool Clubs<\/strong> every Tuesday in November from 3pm \u2013 4pm.
