KEEPING UP-TO-DATE
We keep parents, carers and the wider community updated on latest news at Loudoun Academy in a range of ways. This includes the Weekly School Update from the Head Teacher, our half-termly Celebrating Success online newsletter and any urgent notifications about specific matters. These will be communicated mainly through three channels:
SCHOOL WEBSITE
Our School Website aims to be a ‘one stop shop’ for all information about the school and will be regularly updated throughout the year with Latest News and other key documents and resources.
SAFER SCHOOLS SCOTLAND MOBILE APP
Download the Safer Schools Scotland Mobile App and select “Loudoun Academy”. Parents and carers of the school can contact the School Office for the Access Code to receive notifications and updates. The App shares a range of non-school related information which you can change in the App Settings. All updates can be found on the Latest News section of the App.
PARENT PAY EMAIL
We also send important updates to Parents and Carers’ email directly via the ParentPay. This will be sent to the email address on our system for the Main Contact for the student. These can be general updates like Latest News, but also specific information relevant to your child or young person only.
OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES
PARENTAL TEXT MESSAGE
In certain exceptional circumstances, usually an urgency or emergency, we will send a text message to the mobile number of the Main Contact we hold for the student.
