REPORTING TO PARENTS

Throughout the course of the year, there are several opportunities to be updated on your child or young person’s progress.

TRACKING REPORTS

Each year group will have two shorter tracking reports which will give information on Behaviour, Effort and Progress in each subject area. For students in S1-3 Broad General Education (BGE) this will detail progress within Curriculum for Excellence Achievement of a Level (ACEL). For students in S4-6 Senior Phase this will include an Aspirational Target Grade (the grade the student could potentially achieve), a Working Grade (the grade they are likely to achieve based on their current progress) and Next Target Grade (the grade they should be working towards in the next period).

FULL REPORT

Each year group will have one Full Report which summarises areas of learning, strengths and next steps, as well as the same information contained in a Tracking report.

DUPLICATE REPORTS

Should there be a need to receive more than one set of parental reports for a child, for example one for each parent or carer, please contact the School Office who will ensure these are provided.

PARENTS EVENING

Each year group will have one Parents’ Evening, usually held between 4.15 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. in the Assembly Hall. Information will be given prior to each Parents’ Evening on how to log into the online booking system to make appointments.
