S4-S6 LEAVERS’ ATTAINMENT & DESTINATIONS
This week Scottish Government released the February update of Insight, a tool used by schools to measure performance. I am delighted to share positives in our overall trends for students who left Loudoun Academy in 2024, with 95.03% entering into a positive post-school destination, and above comparator trends for the middle-60% and highest-20% attaining as well as overall literacy and numeracy at SCQF level 4, 5 and 6.
Our School Improvement Plan highlights actions to address to support improved attainment of key groups, including the lowest-20% attaining and those students who leave at the earliest point in their school career in S4 and for some, in S5. More information on the School Improvement Plan can be found on the School Website: https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/ea/loudounacademy2022/school-improvement-plan/

SCHOOL CODE – BE RESPECTFUL
Over the week we will be highlighting the following area of our School Code for ‘Be Respectful’:
Keep our school property clean and looked after
REWARDS ACTIVITY
Just a quick note to let you know about our plans, led by a team of staff in the school, for expanding our Rewards Activity at the end of this term. This will be for students who have shown very good attendance and engagement in school, with no cause for concern in behaviour through referrals or demerits through a wider choice of activity and involving S1-S4 students. The team are also looking ahead to next term, culminating in multi-activity trips in the Summer.
Best wishes
