Good Morning everyone!

I am so happy to say that this will be our last remote learning blog! I cannot wait to see you all next week! I will be on vscene at 11am today to check in with you all – fingers crossed it will be working today!

Keep sending in all your great work to me please!

Just a reminder that even when we are back at school we will still be using our blog for homework and to share our learning. So keep checking in to see what we are getting up to and for any important dates etc.

HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Please complete our Daily Feelings Questionnaire as soon as you can every day; it only takes a couple of minutes. This allows us to put all your lovely comments together and send them to our Pupil of the Day. If you are our chosen pupil, make sure to say something nice about yourself and ask someone to send us a photo of you for your certificate.

Daily Feelings

Mia was very busy on pancake day – have a look at her cooking some tasty pancakes! Well done Mia!

ESTIMATING AND ROUNDING

Do you remember the rule of rounding – If it ends in 1-4 you round down and if it ends in 5-9 you round up.

e.g.

11 ends in a 1 so round down to 10.

13 ends in a 3 so round down to 10.

17 ends in a 7 so round up to 20.

19 ends in a 9 so round up to 20.

MULTIPLYING AND DIVIDING

Do you have  a calculator at home? Some laptops/phones have them. Or you can find some on google to use. Have a go at putting in the calculations for the 2 times table. Remember to clear your calculator before you begin each calculation. Can you guess the answer before the calculator?

Here is a fun game below to practise the 2 times tables.

Click the link, click times tables then x2.

WRITING

Online learning has been really hard on everyone but you have all worked so hard and tried your very best. Well done! Your writing task today is to write about something that you are proud of during this lockdown. Below are a few hints you might want to write about.

Have you managed to get on with your work and complete tasks?

Have you been using your lap top and can now use it on your own?

Did you come on and have a little chat on vscene?

Did you learn a new skill? Ride a bike, do some tricks on your scooter, learn a dance or do some keep fit?

I’d love to hear about what you are proud of. Click the link below for your success criteria. I am looking for at least three really good sentences.

What are you proud of?

Mrs Webb 🙂
