He has a wife that’s dour and din,<\/p>\n
Tinkler Madgie was her mither;<\/p>\n
Sic a wife as Willie’s wife,<\/p>\n
I wadna gie a button for her.<\/p>\n

She has an e’e, she has but ane,<\/p>\n
Our cat has twa, the very colour;<\/p>\n
Five rusty teeth, forbye a stump,<\/p>\n
A clapper-tongue wad deave a miller:<\/p>\n
A whiskin beard about her mou,<\/p>\n
Her nose and chin they threaten ither;<\/p>\n
