Homework W.B Monday 21st February

Happy Monday my lovely people. This week is super exciting for us! We have our first school trip in over 2 years and our Burns afternoon!

 

Important Note: I would be very grateful if you had any spare shoe boxes lying around. We will be starting a homework project soon and it would be great if we all managed to have a shoe box. If you do, could you send these into school. Thank you 😊

Parrots- Copy your words another 2 times. Complete 6 sentences using a different spelling word each time. Try using your connectives and or but.

Rulers LI: To multiply single digit numbers by double digit numbers. Complete the worksheet given to you inside of your homework packs. Lay these sums out inside of your numeracy homework jotter. Remember to write the date and title and to lay your sums out correctly.

 

IDL:

Write 6 sentences of local or national news inside of your homework jotter. Remember you can watch Newsround at home and summarise the points in your jotter.

Hello lovely people! Happy Monday! I am so excited to see what this week has in store for us. This week you have been given your new homework packs. This pack will go home with you on a Monday and should be returned on a Thursday with all activities completed inside.

Numeracy

Complete the multiplication sheet inside of your homework packs. For some extra practise, log onto Sumdog and complete the multiplication challenge. Good luck!

Copy your words into your homework jotter 2 times and create 6 sentences using a different word each time from your list. Remember to underline the word you have used.

 

Yellow: Copy your words another 2 times into your jotter. Once you have done this, diacritically mark the words in your list. Use the guide to diacritical marking inside your pack if you need some extra help. Once you have done this I would like you to create a phoneme story about somebody’s birthday surprise. Use all of the words in your list.

  3. Why is the Titanic an important part of history?
  4. Write down 1 interesting fact about the Titanic.

Hello my lovely people! I am absolutely delighted to be back at school this week to see all of your wonderful faces. I have missed you all so much! We have lots of exciting learning planned this week.

For homework this week I would like you to interview somebody

at home to find out what Christmas used to be like for them.

Discuss these questions and write an answer to them below.

Discuss the similarities and differences. An adult can help you

when writing your answers however please make sure you

discuss the answers in detail. I can’t wait to see your responses!

Green- Copy your words 2 more times. Write a diary entry including at least 6 of your spelling words. Remember to start your entry with ‘dear diary’ and write in the first person using I and we.

Task for all groups: Write 4 sentences of either local, national or international news. Remember to use the platforms that we discussed during class. Mr. Clarence recommends the BBC News website. You can also access Newsround from home.
