\ud83d\udcda<\/strong> Jolly Phonics \u2013 A Little Practice at Home<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear Parents and Carers,<\/p>\n

We have been busy learning and reinforcing our Jolly Phonics Group 1 sounds \u2013 s, a, t, i, p, n<\/strong>. \ud83c\udf1f<\/p>\n

We are now beginning to blend these sounds together to read words<\/strong>. For example:<\/p>\n

s \u2013 a \u2013 t <\/strong>\u2192<\/strong> sat<\/strong>
\np \u2013 i \u2013 n <\/strong>\u2192<\/strong> pin<\/strong>
\ns \u2013 i \u2013 t <\/strong>\u2192<\/strong> sit<\/strong><\/p>\n

To help your child become a confident reader, please spend a few minutes practising these sounds at home. The aim is to develop rapid recall<\/strong>, so that your child can recognise each sound quickly without having to stop and think.<\/p>\n
