Primary 1 homework – Monday 10th January

Happy New Year!

This week is a revision week for phonics and common words.

Please refer to your homework pack sheet for guidance on homework.

 

For sounds: Complete the sheet sent home on Monday titled “I can read!”.

The children have to cut out the pictures and match them to the correct CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word.

Your child may need some help to sound out the words.

 

For common words: Practise reading and spelling all common words to revise what we already know.

 

Reading: The children will start getting reading books home next week.

 

Maths: This week is a revision week for addition in maths. Complete the Sumdog competition “Competition 10.01”.

 

Logins: A reminder of Sumdog logins have been sent home this week. Activelearn logins are also in the same envelope, these will be required next week when we start reading homework.
