Phonics and Spelling

Activity 1: We are learning to say, read and write the sounds ‘j’ and ‘v’. We are learning to say, read and write the words ‘have’ ‘just’ ‘to’.

1. Log into education city. Select “Homework” then “Phonics – j and v” to play the games.
2. Practise forming the letters ‘j’ and ‘v’ in your homework jotter.
3. Log into Sumdog and play the spelling game “Spelling – 22.2”.
4. Practise spelling your common words in your homework jotter.

 

Reading

Activity 1: We are learning to use the sounds we know to read words.

1. Practise reading all of your common words.
2. Log into Bug Club and read the book that has been allocated to you.
3. Play the Goal game you were given with your homework.
4. Play the snake game you were given with your homework.

 

Maths and numeracy

Activity 1: We are learning to build the number stories of the numbers 2,3,4 and 5.

1. Log into Sumdog Maths and complete the practise work “Maths 22.2”.
2. Log into Education City select “Homework”, then “Maths 22.2” to play the game.
3. Complete the “Five a Day” sheet you were given with your homework.
4. Try to make the number stories foo the numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5.

The story of 5 5 + 0 = 5 4 + 1 = 5 3 + 2 = 5 2 + 3 = 5 1 + 4 = 5 0 + 5 = 5
