3 in a row!

Complete some of the following Christmas activities. Can you do 3 in a row?

R.M.E. – The 1st Christmas

Retell the story of the first Christmas to an adult in your house.

Maths – Sorting

Count how many of each type of bauble you have on your Christmas tree. Which colour is the most popular? Which is the least popular?

 

Literacy – sentences

Read the following sentences and ask your child to write them.

–      Santa is a man.

–      He has a red hat.

 

Maths – Counting

Go on a Christmas Hunt around the village. Count how many of the following things you can see:

–      Trees

–      Door bows

–      Snowmen

Literacy – Initial sounds

Find a Christmas thing in your home that begins with:

s,  a,  t,  p,  i,  n,  c,  d,  e

 

Art – Christmas Art

Draw a picture of the scene of the first Christmas.

Outdoor- Art

Make an outdoor festive picture using materials like sticks, stones and fallen leaves.

Music – A Christmas song.

Learn a Christmas song with someone in your family.

 

Food Technology – Baking

With an adult, bake a festive treat for someone.

Literacy

Activity 1: We are learning to say, read and write the sounds ‘c’ and ‘k’.

Go on a treasure hunt around your house. Can you find anything that begins with the sound ‘c’ or ‘k’?

Extra challenge: Practise forming the letters ‘c’ and ‘k’.

Activity 2: We are learning to say, read and write the words ‘can’, ‘we’, ‘into’.

Log on to Sumdog Spelling and complete the challenge “Homework 7,12.20”.

Maths and numeracy

Activity 1: We are continuing to learn about coins.

Log on to Sumdog Maths and complete the challenge “Money 7.12.20”.

Activity 2: We are learning to add to 10.

Practise completing the following calculations. You can use counters or a number line to help you:
