Operation: Grow!

I’m excited to let you know that, as part of our Operation: Grow! gardening project, pupils in P4/5 will be working outside in the school garden most Friday afternoons, weather permitting.

These sessions will give the children hands-on opportunities to learn about plants, nature, and caring for our environment. As you can imagine, gardening can be a little muddy at times! To help everyone stay comfortable, please ensure your child comes to school on Fridays with:

– A change of clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty

– Weather-appropriate outerwear (such as a coat, waterproofs, wellies)

We will do our best to work safely and sensibly, but getting a bit messy is all part of the fun and learning.

Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards,

Fiona Stevenson

The Buzzing Boots Balcony

🌼🐝 The Buzzing Boot Balcony 🐝🌼
P4/5 and P5R excited to share a new eco project at school! Our pupils are creating The Buzzing Boot Balcony – a fun, colourful planter made from old children’s wellies, filled with flowers to help attract and support bees and other pollinators.
This project helps children learn about caring for the environment, recycling, and why bees are so important for our food and ecosystems.
If you have any old or outgrown children’s wellie boots that you no longer need, we would be very grateful for any donations to help our balcony bloom. Thank you for supporting our school and our bees! 💛🌸
