Shaving Foam Paint

A can of shaving foam can be a useful resource to help promote your child’s development.  It’s a great sensory play experience and can help develop their fine motor skills. A couple of drops of food colouring in your shaving foam and a paintbrush can also be another way for your child to get creative.  Just ensure you use shaving foam for sensitive skin and supervise your child throughout as this is not an edible resource.

Eye Spy my name

Activity 1.

Write your child’s name as you see in the video then, encourage them to play Eye Spy things beginning with each letter in their name.

Activity 2.

Encourage them to then draw a picture of each item they spy.

Activity 3.

Cur out the letters in your child’s name and mix them up.  Encourage them to sort the letters to look like their name.

Always say each letter out loud to encourage recognition of letters in their name.

Once confident, change game to another person’s name and play over again.

Thank you.🌟

Make a bird feeder or garden decoration

Hello again everyone. Today i found some recycling ideas for you to make some bird feeders or ornaments for your garden using old tins or a milk carton. Try using old paint, paper and glue, pens, anything you like. You choose. I’ve added some photos to give you some ideas.  Be creative and try making your own version of the pictures and hang in your garden, or on the fence.

Hayden,Jenson,Rory,Amelia,Irena and William’s favourite soup

I’ll

I know everyone in our ECC knows how to stay safe using a peeler, grater and knife. So…why not ask an adult to help you make your favourite soup. Then, when you are finished, try an experiment putting carrot tops, leek and onion bottom and potato eyes into a recycled jar lid with water, pop on a sunny window cill and keep watered then watch what happens. Have fun, and enjoy your soup. Here’s our recipe.

Make a flag for VE day

The Union Jack flag is the national flag of the United Kingdom. The flag combines the three older flags. The Red Cross of St George for the Kingdom of England, the White Saltire of St Andrew for Scotland and the Red Saltire of St Patrick to represent Ireland.

Can you make a Union Jack by copying the picture and colouring, glueing and sticking or painting it to match the picture. Maybe you could wave it, or display it in your window in celebration of VE day on Friday.

Have some more fun making up your own design and make even more flags.

Enjoy.
