May this year was a very dry month and we had very little rain. I wonder how much rainfall we’ll have this month ? Will it be as dry as last month ? A rain gauge is a useful resource to help measure how much rain we’ve had over time if you regularly record your findings. Here’s a simple rain gauge you can make with just a large plastic bottle.

Hello boys and girls!
I have read a story for you. It’s all about tomato ketchup. Do you like tomato ketchup?
While you listen, try to remember as many of the foods mentioned in the story as you can!
How many did you remember?

We made a butterfly mosaic picture using plastic bottle caps a few years ago in the ECC and it was very effective. Why don’t you recycle your old bottle caps and make your own piece of art that could be displayed either indoors or outdoors.

I have posted photos of our favourite rhyme time puppets.
Next, they have to sing the rhyme (Karaoke style) with everyone joining in.
If they can’t sing the rhyme, then they have to tell a story to everyone about one or two of the puppets in the pictures.
Make up your concert as you go. Sing, say or tell a story.
Most importantly, have lots of laughter and fun! 😘
Next:
Try changing the concert to an I-spy a Nursery Rhyme beginning with the puppet initial or, point to a picture and say can you guess the rhyme or tell a story.

Here’s a lovely way for your child to explore the different feelings we all have and it has a familiar tune, so it’s easy to learn.
Feelings song
(Tune: Twinkle, twinkle)
I have feelings, you do too
Let’s all sing about a few.
I am happy, I am sad,
I get scared, I get mad.
I am proud of being me.
That’s a feeling too, you see.
I have feelings, you do too.
We just sang about a few.
