Make a wildlife pond in your garden

Hello Rory, Hayden, Jenson, Will, Amelia and Irena

As it’s World Environment day, I thought to celebrate, you could make a pond to encourage wildlife into your garden.

*1st you will need an old basin, takeaway tray, container or pot or pan, use what you have, even a tinfoil tray will work. It can be as big or small as you like.

*Next, you will need some stones or rocks, even some twigs or sticks if you have some.

*Last, you will need water. Rainwater is best tho since we haven’t had much rain you can use tap water too. 😁

When you have collected all that you need, place your container where you would like it to be before you begin.

  1. place stones and or rocks in container.

  2. make sure you remember to build in a ramp in a corner so animals and birds can use it to get in and out of the water.

  3. fill with water

  4. Enjoy watching your pond daily to see what wildlife uses it. You will be surprised.🐭 🐝 🐞 🐌 πŸ¦‹ πŸ•· πŸ¦” 🐰 🐸 πŸ¦†πŸ¦Ÿ πŸ¦— 🧚

  5. Draw some pictures of what you find and post to your friends, or someone you miss to make them smile (see pictures below) πŸ₯°

Remember to be Responsible Citizens when your are out and about. Take your rubbish and plastic home for recycling or put in a bin.
Rubbish left lying about can hurt or even kill wildlife. Please take it home and if you see anyone throwing rubbish away, tell them to take it home too. We must look after our environment. It’s the only one we have. Take care xx
