As today marks the start of National Smile Month, I thought you could help grown ups make a healthy snack. See photos and instructions below.
1.Always wash hands and any fruit or Vegetables you use before starting.
2.Have a look around your kitchen and use what vegetables you can find. I used cucumber, carrots, tomatoes and peppers as I know you all enjoy them in nursery.
3.Peel your veg and cut into sticks or any shape you like.
4.Place on board or in bowl and put to side for later.
Dip:
1.Open can of chickpeas, remember to keep some of the liquid.
2.Mash chickpeas with fork or hand blender, adding a teaspoon of the liquid you saved earlier. For a change, try swapping chickpeas with garden peas or baked beans drained.
3.Separate mixture between 2 smaller bowls and add flavouring to taste. I used sweet chilli sauce in one and a mix of mayonnaise and curry powder in the other. Experiment with your own flavours.
- Enjoy😁
