Being able to listen and pay attention are important skills that children need so that they can communicate positively with others.  Making and playing with diy telephones is a good way  for children to practise these skills.  Yoghurt pots or paper cups and string are all you need to make your own phones.  Children might want to decorate them with paint, stickers or whatever you have in the house.
