  •
  • Ask an adult to help you mark a grid of 12 squares on three pieces of paper
  • leave one grid blank
  • write numbers 0-10 on two of your grids
  • collect stones, pebbles, sticks, flowers or petals and leaves
  • sort them out into groups of the same type use an old egg box to put them in
  • cut one of your number grids into squares and use them to play match the number on your grid mat or,  use as a lotto game.
  • You could even make an extra number grid, cut it into squares and make a game of number snap.
  • ask an adult to say a number and try to count out the same number of pebbles, sticks or items you have sorted
  • ask someone to say the different number names and see if you can count the correct amount of pebbles, sticks or items you have in your egg box onto the same number on your grid
  • If adults in your house are busy, wait until they have time to help you, or ask a big brother or sister to help.
  • Take a different number each time you go out for a walk and see if you can see the same number on a house door, or even a car or bus number plate.
  • finally, take care and stay safe
  • Have fun!!!
