Greenspace is not always a leafy woodland but can be a neglected patch of scrub serving as valuable habitat for local wildlife and wild plants.\u00a0 Preferably, local greenspace is easily accessed by walking\u00a0 10-15 minutes from the school gate.\u00a0 Some schools are lucky enough to have greenspace\u00a0 adjacent to school estate.<\/p>\n

This award scheme is all about supporting school-based learning. It enables pupils to apply curriculum knowledge and skills, as well to develop their resilience and sense of agency through outdoor learning.<\/em><\/p>\n

There are 24 activities to choose from, each helping children to connect with and learn about nature. There are bronze, silver and gold awards to achieve depending on how many activities you do.<\/em><\/p>\n
