We don&#8217;t want to get lost so we don&#8217;t go around the side of the building where adults can&#8217;t see us. )\u00a0 <\/em><strong>In doing so,\u00a0 you are covering <\/strong><strong>HWB 0-3-16a and helping pupils to assess and manage risk.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Agree on a signal\u00a0 for pupils to gather &#8211; perhaps an adult pointing at the sky.<\/li>\n<li>Set the challenge &#8211; &#8216;I want you to find, touch and report back on something living, something no longer living, something never living.&#8217; (<strong>Sciences<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Pupils touch the objects and report back.\u00a0 The learning is in the discussion about the answers &#8211; &#8216;Is the wooden bench really something that has never been living?\u00a0 Where does plastic come from?&#8217;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Alternative Challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Literacy <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Develop vocabulary and descriptive skills &#8211; <em>something rough, something smooth, something soft<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Again, discussion and prompting to extend the thinking is essential.
