{"id":2492,"date":"2020-04-29T12:28:20","date_gmt":"2020-04-29T12:28:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/learningoutdoorssupportteam\/?page_id=2492"},"modified":"2023-11-27T11:36:49","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T11:36:49","slug":"horton-hears-a-who-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/learningoutdoorssupportteam\/horton-hears-a-who-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Horton Hears a Who!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Horton Hears a Who! <\/em>by Dr Seuss<\/p>\n<p>Here is another story from Dr Seuss.\u00a0 Again, it at first looks like a simple picture book .\u00a0 However, it contains some very important messages, including \u2018A person\u2019s person, no matter how small.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Horton the elephant accidentally discovers the tiny town of Whoville, home to the microscopic Whos.\u00a0 The town of Whoville and the entire Who world exists on what to appears to Horton to be a speck of dust.\u00a0 The Who world is in danger and Horton takes on the responsibility of taking care of it even though no-one at first believes that Whoville or the Whos exist.<\/p>\n<p>The book was first published in 1954 and has been adapted for TV and film.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a number of activities you can do that link to the book;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/learningoutdoorssupportteam\/horton-hears-a-who-activities\/\">Horton Hears a Who!
