This activity shows you how to grow pea shoots (baby pea plants) from seed.<\/p>\n
Re-use a cup or similar sized container before it goes to the recycling bin, fill with compost, add a pea seed\/dried pea, and water and watch it grow.\u00a0 Harvest the pea plant leaves and add to a salad.<\/p>\n
We have been told that it’s possible to grow pea shoots from the dried peas you can find in the groceries aisle – we haven’t tried it ourselves!\u00a0 Packets of pea seeds are often on sale at the fresh fruit and vegetables section of the supermarket.<\/p>\n
