{"id":1362,"date":"2020-03-26T15:44:17","date_gmt":"2020-03-26T15:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/learningoutdoorssupportteam\/?page_id=1362"},"modified":"2024-01-09T13:28:40","modified_gmt":"2024-01-09T13:28:40","slug":"scavenger-hunts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/learningoutdoorssupportteam\/scavenger-hunts\/","title":{"rendered":"Scavenger Hunts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scavenger Hunts allow children to explore a variety of different things in different contexts.\u00a0 From letters, to numbers, to textures, learners can find many things in their outdoor (or indoor environments).\u00a0 Below are some different scavenger hunts that you could try in your own spaces.<\/p>\n<p><u>Learning Outcomes and ASN Milestones met will differ depending on the focus of your scavenger hunt.<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>Resources needed:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Whiteboard and pens, pupil notebooks, see: <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/learningoutdoorssupportteam\/make-a-mini-notebook\/\">Make a Mini Notebook<\/a>, camera\/tablet<\/p>\n<p><u>Lesson Activities:<\/u><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\"><strong style=\"font-style: inherit\"><u>Sensory Scavenger Hunt<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In your space, go and find something jaggy, smooth, tall, small, rough, cracked\u2026you name it and you will be able to find it!\u00a0 Can pupils think of any other words to use to describe the objects?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\"><strong style=\"font-style: inherit\"><u>Letter\/Number Scavenger Hunt<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>On a walk around the school grounds or in your local community \u2013 what letters or numbers can you see?\u00a0 Who can find the highest number?
