Happy Friday!

Below you will see some photos of us making Scottish castles, balancing in P.E as part of our Gymnastics block and our wonderful Super hero Display.  As part of our HWB we each designed our own super hero and then wrote a school goal of something we would like to become “super” at this term!

Burns Day :)

Today we celebrated Burns day in P1 – we all really enjoyed trying Vegetarian Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, (Sugar Free) Irn-Bru, Shortbread and Raspberries. I was very impressed with how many boys and girls tried all theses Scottish treats 🙂

We enjoyed music by the Red Hot Chilly Pipers and the classic Oh Ye Canae Shove yer Grannie aff a Bus then we went outside and drew pictures of what we think of when someone says the word Scotland. We drew castles, food and drinks, the Loch Ness Monster and our homes and families.

Such a lovely afternoon!

Welcome back and Happy New Year :)

It has been so good to have such happy and well rested faces back in the classroom! We have focussed on revision this week and have started learning about Scotland for our first mini topic of 2022. We have made a list of all the areas about Scotland we would like to learn about and talked about Nessy and Scottish Wildlife so far.

In P.E we have started Gymnastics on a Monday with Miss Corrigan and Tennis on a Wednesday and Friday – using balloons to begin with really helps to make sure we aim accurately and gives time to prepare before hitting to our partner.

Everyone has worked super hard and it is lovely to be back!

Please find below the link to the learner homework survey which we would be grateful if your child was aided to complete:
