Boys and girls from Sgoil na Coille Nuaidh took part in Cuach na Cloinne, a national Gaelic 5-a-side football competition, on the 7th of May. They played against several different GME schools located in the central belt and did a fantastic job in representing their school! Go G-Unit ⚽️
Our Netball Team have come first place in the Netball Festival at the Ayrshire College 🥇we would like to thank their trio of coaches for volunteering to run the club. The team will be back in action for the knock out stages of the Netball League in Term 4 #goteamjimmy
Congratulations to our P4 Tennis Team who have came first place at the Kilmarnock Tennis Club Festival. All teams had been given a 6 week coaching block provided by KTC as well as an opportunity to have free coaching sessions at the weekend as part of the programme. Our boys and girls Handball Teams gave a great account of themselves in the National Handball Competition at the Ravenscraig Sports Centre. Our boys finished 5th overall out of 14 schools, winning 4 and losing 3 matches. Our girls finished 4th overall out of 14 schools, winning 4 and losing 3 in a dramatic penalty shoot out in their final game. Again, thanks for-all the hard work by their coaches Deco and Sam from the Ayrshire College #goteamjimmy 🤾♀️🤾♂️🥅
Our P5’s have had a an awesome time, enjoying a 6-week block of swimming at the Galleon learning an essential life skill. 🏊🏊♀️
Finely Storrie is our first P7 Sports Leader to referee at a competitive event! He refereed at the Girls East Ayrshire Cup in 3 matches and did a tremendous job. We are super proud of how confident you were! 👌
We had a beautiful day for our first Intra House Competition of the session, which was football. The event was run by the P7 Sports Leaders who did a sterling job! All pupils from P1-7 got to play each other’s houses. We are pleased to announce that it was the Blue House who came out on top racking up a massive 71 points and winning 500 tokens for their House, that will go towards the end of term treat for the winning house; who will it be? The pupils will have two more Intra House competitions in May doing Tug-a-war and Potted Sports before our Grand Finale Sports Day in June. ⚽️🏒⛳️🥅⛹️
Well done to the Netball team who have won their group in the new Netball League and will progress on to the next stage. The team will be in action again on Thursday the 27th at the Ayrshire College for a Netball Festival. Good luck! #goteamjimmy
The boys football team had won their group in the Ayrshire League but unfortunately have been knocked out in the second round by a very well organised Drongan team, who we wish the best of luck in their quarter final. The boys kick off their East Ayrshire Cup campaign after the Easter hols 🤞
Our girls football team have qualified for the Tier 1 semi final of the East Ayrshire Cup where they will play Drongan here at JHPS on the 20th March.
They girls have also qualified for a quarter final tie in the Ayrshire League where they will play Alloway here at JHPS. Date TBC.
Due to their success this session the girls have been invited to play in the 3 Pillars of Ayrshire Tournament which will take place on Friday 30th May 4.30-7.30pm @Kilwinning Sports Club. #goteamjimmy ⚽️
