Literacy

In term 3 we will be continuing to say, make, break and blend words with our new  joined phonemes.  We will be learning a Scottish poem as part of our Robert Burns celebrations. In writing we will write our own poems.   As part of our Grammar activities we will be learning  about the difference between Proper and Common nouns.

Numeracy

This term we will be counting on and back and ordering numbers to 100.  We will be learning about odd and even numbers and use materials to partition and repartition amounts to show fractions that are equivalent to 1/2 and 1/4 of a whole number.

In mathematics we will be learning to use a range of equipment to measure the length, weight and volume of various objects.

Health & Wellbeing

In PE we will be taking part in sending and receiving games including tennis and badminton.

We will be learning  medicines and how to store them correctly, while taking part in out topic about substance misuse.

Social Subjects

This term we will be learning about island life and compare with our own while taking part in the topic about Katie Morag.
