It\u2019s been a busy week in P3\/2 with lots of great learning.<\/p>\n

For our engineering competition, the children were asked, \u201cIf you were an engineer, what would you do?\u201d<\/p>\n

The challenge is to think of a problem and how you could create something to solve it. We looked at big examples, like bridges and how they solved travel problems. We looked at the telephone and how it solved communication problems. If you want to, you could chat with your child about a problem that happens for them, or something in the wider world. If they come up with a good idea, can you help them draw a sketch of it and bring it in to enter into the competition.<\/p>\n

We have been doing fractions work in maths. We started by halving shapes and moved on to halving quantities and looking at how to write a half. We will be continuing this work next week.<\/p>\n
