Time has flown by this term.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Home Learning Tasks<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Literacy<\/strong>&#8211; <strong>Practice your reading books!<\/strong> You&#8217;re doing great. Just for fun this week, <strong>can you read the story starter and continue the story<\/strong>? It has a Christmas theme and I am looking for <strong>good punctuation, amazing adjectives (at least 3-5!) and 2 different connectives<\/strong>. I&#8217;d also like you to try and <strong>vary the length of your sentences<\/strong> eg some long and some short.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6879 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/hurlfordpsecc\/files\/2020\/12\/story-300x127.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"224\" \/><\/li>\n<li><strong>Maths<\/strong>&#8211; On Friday we spoke about <strong>probability<\/strong> and used words such as<strong> unlikely, likely, impossible and certain<\/strong> to describe the probability of something happening. Let&#8217;s practice some more! <strong>Try this game called &#8220;The Vile Vendor<\/strong>&#8220;. You can google search it by typing in &#8220;Vile Vendor Game KS1&#8221; or here is the link: http:\/\/www.scootle.edu.au\/ec\/viewing\/L118\/index.html#<\/li>\n<li><strong>IDL<\/strong>&#8211; We started to look at our new topic which is all about <strong>electricity<\/strong>. We looked back in time at important scientists and focused on Benjamin Franklin. He discovered lightning was electricity. <strong>Can you tell someone at home some information about Benjamin Franklin?<\/strong> We also looked at where electricity comes from and know it can be really dangerous. <strong>Go to the website &#8220;Switched on Kids&#8221; and have a go at the electrical safety in your home game<\/strong>.
