We have had a busy term, especially the last couple of weeks and everyone is now getting very excited for the Christmas holidays!<\/p>\n

During this term we have developed our writing skills by learning about how to use commas for different purposes and how to write reports, including a newspaper report.\u00a0 We have started a topic about World War Two and, so far, have learned about when and why it began, which countries were involved and about evacuation.\u00a0 In Maths and Numeracy, the focus has been on telling the time, doing speed, distance and time calculations, and\u00a0 identifying factors, multiples and prime numbers.\u00a0 We have also revised how to do written calculations for addition and subtraction.<\/p>\n

In the lead up to Christmas we have learned about Advent and looked at famous paintings of the Nativity story.\u00a0 We made Christingles and created our own Nativity art, choosing either pencils, pastels or paint.<\/p>\n

For the Christmas Fayre, we worked in teams and used our food preparation skills to make dog biscuits.\u00a0 Everyone did brilliantly and the home-made packaging looks great too!<\/p>\n

Today we have been using the ‘Hour of Code’ site to develop some computer coding skills by helping the Grinch save Christmas.<\/p>\n
