It was very dramatic and most of the class liked the ending and were glad to find out what happened to Michael and Kensuke. After finishing the book, we used technology skills to access an assignment on our class Teams page. Everyone did very well getting logged on, completing and submitting their work.<\/p>\n<p>Our focus on creative writing was rounded off by writing a descriptive poem about wildlife. \u00a0Last week we had researched red squirrels, foxes and hedgehogs so these were the animals we picked from as a focus for writing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Muir Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following on from our writing lesson, we took our learning outside and explored how we can use natural materials to create art. \u00a0We split into groups and made some transient artwork of a fox, a red squirrel and a hedgehog. \u00a0This task promoted good discussion about teamwork and the importance of listening to each other. \u00a0Here are some pictures of our art before we followed John Muir\u2019s message of \u2018leave no trace\u2019 and tided up after ourselves.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11227\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/hurlfordpsecc\/files\/2022\/11\/253F2958-6A67-40E3-99F0-BD7FE27E2B09-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11228\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/hurlfordpsecc\/files\/2022\/11\/8ABD2E66-14A4-4AFC-8B1C-3605BDEFF9D4-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11229\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/hurlfordpsecc\/files\/2022\/11\/2B791066-8DDA-44C0-B57E-A069C553AB98-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Numeracy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This week there has been revision of the rules when multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000, looking at how to use place value when decimal numbers are involved.
