In preparation for moving to our new Barony Campus the design team have launched a competition to design a bridge panel for the new campus walkway.
On Thursday 7th March 2019 our pupils, staff and families worked together with Ruth our college Art Specialist to create our entry. We love our shared design and can’t wait to see it immortalised on the new campus in a years time!

The title is ‘Hillside Journeys’.
The inspirational Singing Hands duo joined pupils, staff and families at Hillside School for a day filled with joy and celebration.
Singing Hands are experts in Makaton signing to support the development of spoken language. We use Makaton signing every day at Hillside but our school community needed a wee bit of inspiration and we received it in absolute bucket loads from Suzanne and Tracey as they led us on a journey of story, song and signing throughout the day.
There was loads of rich learning for us all. Our pupils were so engaged in the sessions developing attention, communication and social skills whilst smiling, laughing and having loads of fun with their friends.
The girls worked with individual classes in the morning then led a rousing afternoon session with the whole school community including families.
The day was rounded off with an excellent staff workshop and a large tray of strawberry tarts!! What a great day for our Hillside family!
