This was\u00a0made possible by\u00a0a former pupil of Gargieston who is now a teacher in the school, contacting us and coming in to visit when home in Kilmarnock.<\/p>\n<p>Well, the first letters back arrived in the post today and there was much excitement in our class!<\/p>\n<p>We learned about all sorts from their favourite films and foods to Spanish customs and cuisine. Our children were not impressed at the thought of octopus and potatoes!<\/p>\n<p>Now, we have made Christmas cards to send back and will pop in another letter before the Christmas holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Not forgetting we had a terrific morning at the pantomime &#8211; oh yes we did!!<\/p>\n<p>Pantomime and pen pals \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last month Primary 7 pupils wrote their first pen pal letters to an English speaking school in Spain.
