We have started a new block of learning focusing on the World of Work. Over the next few weeks, we will be looking at what options we have after leaving school. Today we focused on learning about universities. Pupils had an opportunity to select a university and find out the degrees on offer and then collate them into a word cloud.

Today we took PE outside!
P7 calculated the mean average of their data sets then plotted a line graph showing the numbers of layers of plastic and the amount of light transmitted through the layers. They discussed the patterns and trends they saw.
P7 then predicted what would happen if they added another layer of plastic, drew conclusions and evaluated the odd results they got at times and the accuracy of their measurements.

P7 listened to the story of Moth written by Isabel Thomas and created scientific questions before and after listening to the story.

Great fun creating red noses.
After using a light sensor app to measure the amount of light that passes through increasing layers of transparent plastic using a torch as a light source we gathered our evidence and recorded in a table.
We began to discuss the varying results and analyse and interpret.

P7 used their science skills to plan, gather evidence and carry out a fair test.
