Day 3
A day of orienteering! Burgers and wedges for lunch! We aim to be back at school for 3!
Day two started with wake a wake up call at 7:45 and dorm inspections. We then went for breakfast. Pancakes and porridge! After breakfast we all got set and ready for our caving adventure. In the caves, Calvin told us some scary stories and we went down some narrow passages. We also had some clay face masks. We arrived back for some sandwiches and crisps. After lunch we split into two groups. One group went biking through the trails of Culzean Castle and the other went coasteering. We then swapped over. For dinner we had steak pie! After dinner we enjoyed a fantastic disco hosted by a pirate and played some party games.
Day 1
We arrived at Dolphin House. We walked from the castle to the bunkhouse. We got settled into our dorms. We then had some lunch. We had yummy baked potatoes and beans. After lunch we split into two groups. One group did archery and one did rock pooling then we swapped. Before dinner we want a walk along the beach to find Cowrie shells. Dinner was lentil soup and pizza. After dinner we went to the adventure park and played multiple games of manhunt. One round of teachers vs pupils and two tired teachers later! We finished the night with a campfire with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Hopefully lights out by ten 🤞
In celebration of attaining the John Muir Explorer award we learnt about fire safety and lit fires to heat the Ghillie kettles to make hot chocolate and toast marshmallows.
